The Johnson Knights basketball team (Gainesville, GA), was overwhelmed 84-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA)
The Eagles now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 12. East Jackson will battle a Panthers team coming off a 80-72 non-league loss to Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-5.
The Knights (0-8) will now prepare for their battle against Madison County (Danielsville, GA). The Red Raiders come into the AAAA Region 8 battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Madison County trounced Elbert County (Elberton, GA), 85-53, in a non-league battle.
