The Hazen Highlanders basketball team (Renton, WA), was nudged 48-45 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA)

The Islanders now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Interlake for a 3A KingCo battle on Tuesday, December 12. Mercer Island will confront a Saints team coming off a 78-56 league win over Juanita (Kirkland, WA). The Saints record now stands at 3-1.

The Highlanders (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bellevue (Bellevue, WA). The Wolverines come into the 3A KingCo battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Bellevue edged Lake Washington (Kirkland, WA), 72-47, in a league battle.
