Medina Valley Panthers (Castroville, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Highlands Owls (San Antonio, TX), 59-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Medina Valley upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Panthers host Pieper (San Antonio, TX) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Pieper lost 45-37 in their recent non-league bout against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX)
Next up, the Owls play the Brackenridge Eagles (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 27 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 60-52 non-league loss to Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX).
