Hillcrest Christian Saints (Thousand Oaks, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Thacher Toads (Ojai, CA), 53-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hillcrest Christian upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Saints travel to Buckley (Sherman Oaks, CA) to play the Griffins in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Buckley lost 46-41 in their recent non-league bout against Flintridge Prep (La Canada, CA)

Next up, the Toads play the Laguna Blanca Owls (Santa Barbara, CA) in a Frontier bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Thacher will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 61-53 non-league loss to Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA).
