Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY), 60-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shelby Valley upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Floyd Central (Eastern, KY) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Floyd Central lost 80-68 in their recent non-league bout against Perry County Central (Hazard, KY)

Next up, the Golden Eagles clash with the Prestonsburg Blackcats (Prestonsburg, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Johnson Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blackcats go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 83-21 non-league win over Cordia (Hazard, KY).
