The Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Monessen Greyhounds (Monessen, PA), 65-47 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Scotties go into the non-league test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Southmoreland notched a victory over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA), 77-35, in a non-league test.
The Greyhounds now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Greensburg Salem for a non-league test on Saturday, December 9. Monessen will encounter a Golden Lions squad coming off a 60-28 non-league loss to Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Golden Lions record now stands at 1-2.
