Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX), 52-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sulphur Bluff upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Bears travel to Savoy (Savoy, TX) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Savoy lost 46-32 in their recent non-league bout against Neches (Neches, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Prairiland Patriots (Pattonville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Saltillo will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 69-53 non-league win over Excel Christian Academy (Powderly, TX).
