Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), 69-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Watauga upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pioneers host T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. East Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
