Mountain Empire Redhawks (Pine Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Borrego Springs Rams (Borrego Springs, CA), 20-11 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Empire upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Redhawks travel to The Cambridge School (San Diego, CA) to clash with the Griffins in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 6-0. The Cambridge School won 37-26 in their recent non-league bout against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Hamilton Bobcats (Anza, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Borrego Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 35-28 non-league win over Calipatria (Calipatria, CA).
