Mohawk Warriors (Sycamore, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bucyrus Redmen (Bucyrus, OH), 47-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mohawk upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Buckeye Central (New Washington, OH) to play the Bucks in a Northern 10 bout on Friday, December 15. The Bucks come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Buckeye Central lost 48-42 in their recent league bout against Colonel Crawford (North Robinson, OH)

Next up, the Redmen play the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates (Cardington, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Bucyrus will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 47-34 league win over Fredericktown (Fredericktown, OH).
