Texas High School Basketball - Buna thwarts Port Neches-Groves

The Buna Cougars (Buna, TX) basketball knocked off the host Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX), 47-31 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Orangefield (Orangefield, TX). The Bobcats go into the 3A Region III District 22 test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Orangefield notched a victory over Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX), 46-42, in a non-league test.

The Indians now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they host Goose Creek Memorial for a 5A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, December 12. Port Neches-Groves will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 65-41 non-league win over West Fork (Kingwood, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 2-7.
