The Simon Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY) basketball knocked off the host Grant County Braves (Dry Ridge, KY), 53-42 in Saturday's league test.
The Pioneers (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY). The Colonels go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record.
The Braves now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Oldham for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Grant County will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 87-46 non-league loss to Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-3.
