Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves (Lufkin, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX), 37-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pineywoods Community Academy upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Diboll (Diboll, TX) to play the Lumberjacks in a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Lumberjacks come into the bout with a record of 12-5.

Next up, the Red Devils play the Pollok Central Bulldogs (Pollok, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 bout, on Friday, December 15. Huntington will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 45-28 non-league win over Brookeland (Brookeland, TX).
