Montana High School Basketball - Jefferson edges Sweet Grass County

The Jefferson Panthers (Boulder, MT) basketball nipped the host Sweet Grass County Sheepherders (Big Timber, MT), 46-44 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Three Forks (Three Forks, MT). The Wolves go into the B District 5 test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Three Forks got by Fairfield (Fairfield, MT), 45-35, in a non-league test.

The Sheepherders now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Joliet for a B District 4 test on Friday, January 5. Sweet Grass County will encounter a J Hawks squad coming off a 42-29 non-league win over Colstrip (Colstrip, MT). The J Hawks record now stands at 1-0.
