Mason Comets (Mason, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lakota West Firebirds (West Chester, OH), 55-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Mason upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Comets travel to Oak Hills (Cincinnati, OH) to play the Highlanders in a Greater Miami bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Oak Hills won 41-33 in their recent league bout against Hamilton (Hamilton, OH)

Next up, the Firebirds play the Fairfield Indians (Fairfield, OH) in a Greater Miami bout, on Saturday, December 16. Lakota West will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
