Texas High School Basketball - Mexia topped by Teague

The Teague Lions basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the host Mexia Black Cats to 26 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westwood for a 3A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Teague will battle a Panthers team coming off a 66-57 non-league win over Martinsville (Martinsville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 5-9.
The Black Cats (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Westwood (Palestine, TX). The Panthers come into the 3A Region III District 20 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Westwood was defeated by Teague (Teague, TX), 58-43, in a league contest.
