Illinois High School Basketball - Sandburg nudges Thornton Fractional South

Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL), 48-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sandburg upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a SouthWest Suburban - Blue bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Homewood-Flossmoor won 57-34 in their recent non-league bout against Hyde Park (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Red Wolves clash with the Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Thornton Fractional South will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
