In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Captain Shreve Gators soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Benton Tigers.
The Gators (8-0) will now prepare for their battle against Airline (Bossier City, LA). The Vikings go into the Division I District 1 battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Airline was nudged by Caddo Magnet (Shreveport, LA), 5-2, in a non-league battle.
The Tigers (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Parkway (Bossier City, LA). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Parkway nipped Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, LA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
