The Alameda Hornets basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Saint Mary's Panthers to 50 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Hornets now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakland Tech for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Alameda will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 68-58 non-league loss to Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.

Next up, the Panthers play the El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Saint Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Gauchos go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 78-3 league win over Richmond (Richmond, CA).
