North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County sneaks past West Wilkes

The Ashe County Huskies basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host West Wilkes Blackhawks to 57 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Monday.

The Huskies now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host North Surry for a non-league game on Wednesday, December 11. Ashe County will play a Greyhounds team coming off a 67-36 non-league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, West Wilkes falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Blackhawks host Starmount (Boonville, NC) to play the Rams in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Rams go into the game with a record of 0-2. Starmount lost 84-48 in their recent non-league game against Surry Central (Dobson, NC)
