In Monday's non-league contest, the host Central Cougars basketball team scored a close 54-50 triumph over the Lee Trojans.

The Cougars (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Drew Central (Monticello, AR). The Pirates go into the 3A Region 8 contest with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Drew Central was tipped by Bergman (Bergman, AR), 72-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Des Arc Eagles (Des Arc, AR) in a 2A Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Lee will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 48-25 league loss to McCrory (McCrory, AR).
