In Monday's non-league contest, the host Tuscaloosa Academy Knights basketball team scored a big 84-18 win over the Pickens Academy Pirates.
The Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Holy Family Catholic (Birmingham, AL). The Tornadoes go into the non-league bout with a 0-6 record. In their last bout, Holy Family Catholic was ripped by Victory Christian (Pell City, AL), 60-31, in a non-league bout.
With the loss, Pickens Academy falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Pirates host Aliceville (Aliceville, AL) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 0-2.
