New York High School Basketball - Monticello holds off Goshen Central

The Monticello Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Goshen Central Gladiators to 40 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Panthers now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cornwall Central for a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. Monticello will confront a Dragons team coming off a 38-25 non-league loss to Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Dragons record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Goshen Central falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Valley Central (Montgomery, NY) to confront the Vikings in a non-league game on Friday, December 13. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 0-0.
