South Carolina High School Basketball - Ridge Spring-Monetta bested by Calhoun County

Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC), 70-55 in a league match.

With the victory, Calhoun County betters its record to 3-0 on the season. The Saints travel to North (North, SC) to battle the Eagles in a A Region 3 match on Friday, December 12. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-2. North lost 68-43 in their recent league match against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (Neeses, SC)

The Trojans now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pelion for a non-league match on Wednesday, December 10. Ridge Spring-Monetta will face a Panthers squad coming off a 52-28 non-league win over Newberry Academy (Newberry, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 7-0.
