In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Houston Hilltoppers basketball team scored a close 57-50 triumph over the West Point Green Wave.
The Hilltoppers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bruce (Bruce, MS). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Bruce was tipped by East Union (Blue Springs, MS), 82-28, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Green Wave confront the Aliceville Yellowjackets (Aliceville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 12. West Point will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record.
