Mississippi High School Basketball - Kosciusko routs Newton County

In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Kosciusko Whippets basketball squad scored a decisive 100-65 victory over the Newton County Cougars.

With the victory, Kosciusko upgrades its record to 8-1 on the year. The Whippets host Leake Central (Carthage, MS) to face the Gators in a non-league match on Friday, December 12. The Gators enter the match with a record of 6-4. Leake Central won 86-65 in their recent non-league match against Clinton (Clinton, MS)

The Cougars now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeast Lauderdale for a non-league match on Friday, December 12. Newton County will face a Tigers squad coming off a 63-37 non-league win over Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 6-2.
