The Athens Academy Spartans basketball team scored 81 points and limited the host Oglethorpe County Patriots to 60 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now possess a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prince Avenue Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, December 13. Athens Academy will clash with a Wolverines squad coming off a 48-47 non-league win over Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-4.

The Patriots (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Banks County (Homer, GA). The Leopards go into the A D1 Region 8 bout with a 3-5 record.
