The Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA) basketball crushed the host Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA), 73-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (11-4) will now prepare for their test against St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA). The Gaels go into the North Central test with a 4-10 record. In their last test, St. Edmond was trounced by Webster City (Webster City, IA), 40-35, in a league test.
The Go-Hawks now own a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Crestwood for a Northeast Iowa test on Friday, February 4. Waverly-Shell Rock will encounter a Cadets squad coming off a 82-44 non-league win over St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA). The Cadets record now stands at 6-12.
