Del Valle Cardinals (Del Valle, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX), 68-66 in a league bout.
With the win, Del Valle upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Cardinals host Austin (Austin, TX) to clash with the Maroons in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 8-22.
Next up, the Rattlers clash with the Bowie Bulldogs (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout, on Saturday, February 5. San Marcos will attempt to upgrade on its 24-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 13-15 record after their 72-60 league loss to Lake Travis (Austin, TX).
