The Wilmington Wildcats basketball team (Wilmington, IL), was toppled 56-39 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL)
The Tigers now possess a 20-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coal City for a Illinois Central 8 battle on Friday, February 4. Herscher will confront a Coalers team coming off a 49-35 league loss to Streator (Streator, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 4-20.
The Wildcats (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets come into the Illinois Central 8 battle with a 11-10 record. In their last battle, Reed-Custer beat Peotone (Peotone, IL), 37-30, in a league battle.
