    • Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Jim Thorpe routs Panther Valley

    February 1, 2022: Jim Thorpe, PA 18229

    In Tuesday's league outing, the Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Panther Valley Panthers (Lansford, PA), by a count of 52-31.

    The Olympians (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Saucon Valley (Hellertown, PA). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 6-14 record. In their last outing, Saucon Valley was crushed by Notre Dame-Green Pond (Easton, PA), 71-30, in a league outing.

    The Panthers now hold a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Tamaqua for a Schuylkill County 1 outing on Saturday, February 5. Panther Valley will clash with a Blue Raiders squad coming off a 62-48 league loss to North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA). The Blue Raiders record now stands at 7-12.
