In Tuesday's league outing, the Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA), by a count of 38-31.

The Bulldogs (4-10) will now prepare for their outing against Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Buffaloes go into the non-league outing with a 9-8 record. In their last outing, Floyd County was tipped by Glenvar (Salem, VA), 51-41, in a league outing.

The Bengals now hold a 3-14 record. They play next when they travel to Halifax County for a Piedmont outing on Friday, February 4. Bassett will clash with a Comets squad coming off a 61-22 league win over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Comets record now stands at 11-3.
