In Tuesday's league outing, the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Belen Eagles (Belen, NM), by a count of 64-34.
The Pirates (6-13) will now prepare for their outing against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans go into the 4A District 5 outing with a 7-8 record. In their last outing, St. Pius X smashed Belen (Belen, NM), 45-20, in a league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 1-20 record. They play next when they host Valencia for a 4A District 5 outing on Friday, February 4. Belen will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 57-28 league loss to Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 13-8.
