Eustace Bulldogs (Eustace, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Blooming Grove Lions (Blooming Grove, TX), 34-31 in a league bout.
With the victory, Eustace upgrades its record to 11-16 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, February 4. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 24-6. Malakoff won 48-30 in their recent league bout against Kemp (Kemp, TX)
Next up, the Lions play the Palmer Bulldogs (Palmer, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 bout, on Friday, February 4. Blooming Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 10-18 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 14-16 record after their 62-16 league loss to Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX).
