East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Shabazz Bulldogs (Newark, NJ), 55-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East Side upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Red Raiders travel to Orange (Orange, NJ) to play the Tornadoes in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 3. The Tornadoes come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Orange lost 52-28 in their recent non-league bout against Newark Tech (Newark, NJ)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 3. Shabazz will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
