The Hubbertville Lions basketball team scored 33 points and restricted the host Pickens County Tornadoes to 24 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vina for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 3. Hubbertville will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 54-30 non-league win over Brilliant (Brilliant, AL). The Red Devils record now stands at 9-12.
The Tornadoes (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Gordo (Gordo, AL). The Green Wave come into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Gordo was defeated by American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL), 44-34, in a league contest.
