The Ayer Shirley Panthers basketball team (Ayer, MA), was nudged 65-61 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Lunenburg Blue Knights (Lunenburg, MA)
The Blue Knights now possess a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clinton for a Midland-Wachusett C battle on Tuesday, February 7. Lunenburg will battle a Gaels team coming off a 49-35 non-league win over Hudson (Hudson, MA). The Gaels record now stands at 11-3.
The Panthers (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Bromfield (Harvard, MA). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 11-2 record.
