With the victory, Making Waves Academy upgrades its record to 9-14 on the campaign. The Marlins host Cristo Rey De La Salle (Oakland, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 16-4. Cristo Rey De La Salle won 69-35 in their recent non-league bout against California Crosspoint (Hayward, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the California Crosspoint Rams (Hayward, CA) in a Bay Counties - General bout, on Thursday, February 2. Contra Costa Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 69-35 non-league loss to Cristo Rey De La Salle (Oakland, CA).
