Colorado High School Basketball - Discovery Canyon knocked off by Palmer Ridge

February 1, 2023: Colorado Springs, CO 80921

The Palmer Ridge Bears basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Discovery Canyon Thunder to 38 in the Bears league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bears now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lutheran for a 5A/4A Pikes Peak contest on Friday, February 3. Palmer Ridge will meet a Lions team coming off a 73-69 league win over Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO). The Lions record now stands at 11-6.

The Thunder (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Kadets enter the 5A/4A Pikes Peak contest with a 17-2 record. In their last contest, Air Academy ran past Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO), 61-45, in a league contest.
