The Dixon Bulldogs topped the visiting South Lenoir Blue Devils basketball team by a final score of 61-51 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) in a 3A Conference 16 game, on Friday, February 3. Dixon will attempt to move on its 6-14 season record. The Pirates enter the game with a 15-3 record after their 61-54 league win over West Carteret (Morehead City, NC).
With the defeat, South Lenoir moves to 4-12 on the year. The Blue devils host East Duplin (Beulaville, NC) to face the Panthers in a 2A Conference 6 game on Thursday, February 2. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-10. East Duplin lost 85-54 in their recent league game against North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC)
