In Wednesday's league outing, the Kiski Area Cavaliers (Vandergrift, PA) basketball squad felled the visiting Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA), by a margin of 66-49.

The Cavaliers (11-10) will now prepare for their outing against Gateway (Monroeville, PA). The Gators go into the WPIAL 5A 3 outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Gateway thwarted Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA), 67-50, in a league outing.

The Panthers now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they host Greater Latrobe for a WPIAL 5A 3 outing on Friday, February 3. Franklin Regional will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 69-64 league loss to McKeesport (McKeesport, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-12.
