Utah High School Basketball - Freedom Prep Academy can't hold off Merit Preparatory Academy

The Merit Preparatory Academy Knights basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Freedom Prep Academy Eagles to 55 in the Knights league victory on Wednesday.
The Knights now sport a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams for a 2A Region 18 contest on Friday, February 3. Merit Preparatory Academy will battle a Marauders team coming off a 60-25 league loss to Maeser Prep Academy (Lindon, UT). The Marauders record now stands at 2-16.
The Eagles (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Maeser Prep Academy (Lindon, UT). The Lions come into the 2A Region 18 contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, Maeser Prep Academy edged Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams (Lehi, UT), 60-25, in a league contest.
