In Wednesday's league outing, the Onekama Portagers (Onekama, MI) basketball squad nipped the host Suttons Bay Norsemen (Suttons Bay, MI), by a margin of 63-58.

The Portagers (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Leland (Leland, MI). The Comets go into the Northwest outing with a 3-11 record. In their last outing, Leland was tipped by Glen Lake (Maple City, MI), 55-13, in a league outing.

The Norsemen now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Benzie Central for a Northwest outing on Friday, February 3. Suttons Bay will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 72-67 league loss to Buckley (Buckley, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 6-5.
