Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL), 63-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Reed-Custer upgrades its record to 21-4 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL) to play the Wildcats in a Illinois Central 8 bout on Friday, February 3. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 11-9. Wilmington lost 52-49 in their recent league bout against Herscher (Herscher, IL)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL) in a Illinois Central 8 bout, on Friday, February 3. Peotone will attempt to upgrade on its 13-11 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 12-13 record after their 68-42 league win over Manteno (Manteno, IL).
