The Riverdale Mavericks (Portland, OR) basketball felled the visiting Warrenton Warriors (Warrenton, OR), 29-14 in Wednesday's league test.
The Mavericks (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Corbett (Corbett, OR). The Cardinals go into the 3A Coastal Range test with a 3-16 record. In their last test, Corbett was beaten by Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR), 56-38, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Neah-Kah-Nie for a 3A Coastal Range test on Friday, February 3. Warrenton will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 60-27 league loss to Banks (Banks, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 8-8.
