Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Jefferson-Morgan ripped by Avella

The Avella Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Jefferson-Morgan Rockets to 23 in the Eagles league triumph on Wednesday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethlehem Center for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. Avella will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 43-25 league loss to Carmichaels (Carmichaels, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-14.

The Rockets (0-19) will now prepare for their contest against Chartiers-Houston (Houston, PA). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Chartiers-Houston triumphed over Frazier (Perryopolis, PA), 51-28, in a league contest.
