California High School Basketball - Taft edged by Birmingham

The Taft Toreadors basketball team (Woodland Hills, CA), was nudged 55-52 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Birmingham Patriots (Lake Balboa, CA)

The Patriots now possess a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cleveland for a West Valley battle on Friday, February 3. Birmingham will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 66-20 league loss to Granada Hills Charter (Granada Hills, CA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-16.

The Toreadors (17-9) will now prepare for their battle against Chatsworth (Chatsworth, CA). The Chancellors come into the West Valley battle with a 13-14 record. In their last battle, Chatsworth edged El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA), 49-35, in a league battle.
