Colorado High School Basketball - Discovery Canyon thwarted by Palmer Ridge

The Discovery Canyon Thunder basketball team (Colorado Springs, CO), was toppled 55-35 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Palmer Ridge Bears (Monument, CO)

The Bears now possess a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lutheran for a 5A/4A Pikes Peak battle on Friday, February 3. Palmer Ridge will confront a Lions team coming off a 61-53 league win over Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO). The Lions record now stands at 17-2.

The Thunder (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Kadets come into the 5A/4A Pikes Peak battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Air Academy beat Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO), 63-60, in a league battle.
