Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME), 70-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ellsworth upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME) to play the Crusaders in a B North bout on Friday, February 3. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 6-9. John Bapst Memorial lost 38-25 in their recent league bout against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)

Next up, the Hawks play the Caribou Vikings (Caribou, ME) in a B North bout, on Thursday, February 2. Hermon will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 63-47 non-league win over Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME).
