Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wayne Warriors (Huber Heights, OH), 47-38 in a league bout.
With the win, Fairmont upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Beavercreek (Beavercreek, OH) to play the Beavers in a Greater Western Ohio bout on Saturday, February 4. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 13-7.
Next up, the Warriors play the Centerville Elks (Centerville, OH) in a Greater Western Ohio bout, on Saturday, February 4. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Elks go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 47-44 league win over Springboro (Springboro, OH).
